‘Art is a place for children to learn to trust their ideas, themselves and to explore what is possible.’ Maryann F. Kohl

Our art and design curriculum is structured so that children experience learning in each of the areas of painting, drawing/printing and sculpture during each academic year. In order to help them achieve mastery, the sculpture element of the curriculum focuses on using clay, and children are introduced to increasingly complex techniques as they move through the academy. Children are also inspired by looking at the work of a culturally diverse range of artists and designers.

Their artwork is celebrated and shared with a range of audiences. We aim to work towards achieving the Artsmark Award.
