‘We have the opportunity to create the future and decide what that’s like.’ Mae Jemison

Marleigh Primary Academy’s Sir Michael Marshall STEM Room, provides a dedicated and well-resourced space for children to develop their problem-solving skills through carefully planned inter-disciplinary challenges, relating to real-life learning. The room’s furniture and resources can be quickly configured to facilitate a variety of functions. Its uses include exploring food technology and healthy eating; construction and investigating materials as part of design technology and science; immersive technology, using our class set of virtual reality headsets; and a clear floor-space for robotics.

There is also a separate computer suite with 3D printer and large screen PCs for computer-aided design. Classrooms are also well equipped with technology, including bespoke furniture, interactive screens and enough iPads for each child.

See individual subject pages for specific information about each.
