This week we’ve been busy taking part in our Marleigh Academy Council elections. Our KS2 applicants proudly read their engaging speeches in a whole school assembly. This week reception are exploring the theme of growing. In English lessons they are reading 'The Tiny Seed' and exploring what seeds need to grow. In continuous provision today they have been exploring a planting tuff tray, reading lots of factual books about plants and growing and exploring some different seeds and what we think they might grow into! #primaryeducation #science #growing #receptionclass

Blackbirds class have been busy in their Science lessons testing the permeability of different rocks by carrying out a fair test to check for bubbles in both metamorphic and sedimentary rocks we found in our school forest area. 🌳 🪨 💧

Hurricanes have been making the most of the sunshi

Hurricanes have been making the most of the sunshine this week and took their learning outside.
They have been learning about the importance of trees in science and they spent the afternoon doing observational drawings of them!
We are excited to use the outdoor space more this term as we move on to our new topic of plants 🌲
