Nursery
52 Place Nursery
Marleigh Nursery is a 52 place nursery for children aged 3 to 4 years old.
The Nursery is open in term-time from 8:40 am to 3.15 pm
We have a fantastic Early Years team! Our Early Years areas are full of exciting, practical learning opportunities; places where children explore and develop their understanding. Adults focus on early language and the vocabulary children need to access advanced understanding. The inside and outside environments demonstrate the value we place on making sure all children have a fabulous, exciting and appropriate start to their education.
Admissions
From the term after their 3rd birthday, all 3 and 4 year olds are funded for 15 hours per week and some may be eligible for 30 hours funding (see https://www.gov.uk/30-hours-free-childcare).
Places will be allocated on a first come basis on the following criteria:
1. Pre-school children who have a sibling attending Marleigh Primary Academy.
2. Pre-school children who live in the catchment area for Marleigh Primary Academy.
3. Children who live outside the catchment area.
Nursery session times from September 2024
Session | Times | Cost |
Morning | 8.40 am – 11.40 am | 3 hours funded |
Lunch | 11.40 am – 12.15 pm | 35 minutes unfunded, cost £3 |
Afternoon | 12.15 pm – 3.15 pm | 3 hours funded |
Fees
All sessions, in addition to funded hours, are charged at £16.50. Places must be booked a half-term in advance.
Lunch sessions can only be booked when your child is attending the whole day, and for an additional cost of £3. If you have difficulties affording the additional cost of the lunch session, please contact us and we will do what we can to support you.
Fees continue to be payable if a child is absent due to illness (including self-isolation) and due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. strike action or closure due to severe weather). Each child’s attendance at Marleigh Nursery is conditional upon continued payment of any necessary fees.
Marleigh Nursery is open every day during term time from 8:40 am to 3.15 pm and the staff ratios are worked out according to the legal requirements. This means that we are unable to let children start the sessions earlier or later than the sessions that have been booked and paid for. We are unable to allow access to the premises before the relevant times. A charge will be levied for late collection of £1 per minute. This will be invoiced to you by the school office.
A place at Marleigh Nursery does not guarantee a place in Marleigh Primary Academy. Please see our Admissions Arrangement Policy for further details on how to apply for a Reception place.
Snacks and lunch
All children get free milk and fruit during the morning. Those attending lunch sessions can bring their own packed lunch or a healthy school lunch can be ordered for your child. Read more about lunches.
