Lunchtime and After School Clubs

Our aim is to enrich our curriculum by providing as wide a range of lunchtime and after school clubs as possible. For this reason, we welcome suggestions and links to providers. Please also see information about our daily wrap-around care offer. For clubs run by external providers, please use the contact details below. Guitar & ukulele lessons

Richard Holmes has been teaching guitar for about 30 years and has done so at a range of local schools. He teaches students rock to pop, metal to jazz, acoustic folk to classical and everything in between. He normally teaches ukulele from year 1 and the guitar from year 2 (depending on the size of student and instrument).

Lessons cost £13 for twenty minutes and payment is a term in advance, please contact Richard on rholmesguitar@outlook.com if you are interested.

Piano lessons

Dom has been teaching music for more than 15 years, privately and in music conservatories, has an ABRSM Certificate for Music Educators, and a PGCert in Higher Education. A passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated tutor, teaching piano, music theory and creative music writing. Everybody learns in a different way and enjoys different things. Every student will have a personalised plan and path, creating a learning experience focused on their need, time constraints and goals.

Cost: £17.5/lesson for 30 min, £26/lesson for 45 min, £35/lesson for 60 min.

Ballet

Jill Bridger School of Dance offer ‘creative and imaginative’ ballet classes on Mondays: Nursery and Reception – 3:45-4:15pm. Year 1 upwards – 4:15-4:45pm.

Tang Soo Do martial arts

Tang Soo Do class runs on Tuesdays from  3.15 – 4.15pm at a cost of £5 per session.

Code Ninjas

Explore the world of programming all year around at our Code Ninjas school club!

Students get to move at their own pace based on their skill and knowledge in coding activities such as Minecraft Education, MakeCode and more. Build a foundation of digital literacy, critical problem-solving skills and computational thinking using block-based coding and Python!
