Year 3’s Adventure at Clip n Climb: Conquering Fears and Building Confidence!
On Wednesday 5th February, Year 3 embarked on an exciting trip to Clip n Climb, an adventure-filled climbing experience that allowed our children to challenge themselves, conquer fears, and develop new skills. It was an unforgettable day, full of teamwork, encouragement, and plenty of fun!
For some of our children, it was their first time trying indoor climbing, and they approached the challenge with a mixture of excitement and nerves. But as the day went on, we saw incredible moments of bravery as children pushed themselves to new heights—both literally and figuratively! Many of the children stepped out of their comfort zones and tackled climbs they never thought they could do. It was truly inspiring to watch their confidence grow with each climb.
One of the most heartwarming aspects of the trip was how the children supported one another. Whether it was cheering on a friend who was facing a particularly tricky climb or offering a word of encouragement, the team spirit was evident. The sense of camaraderie was a key part of the experience, and it was wonderful to see how the class worked together to create a positive and supportive environment.
By the end of the session, everyone had a huge smile on their face, proud of what they had achieved. The trip to Clip n Climb not only provided a thrilling adventure, but it also gave our Year 3 students a chance to grow, challenge themselves, and celebrate each other’s successes.
Here is what the children said:
“It was very challenging but whenever I didn’t want to do it anymore, I kept on going and I didn’t give up” – Maria
“I especially loved the slide; it was so scary, but it was my favourite!” – Georgia
“When I reached the top, I realised how high I was but when I got to the bottom I was so proud and relieved!” – Fayyaz
“I had the best afternoon ever” – Sakina
A big thank you to all the staff who helped organise and supervise this fantastic trip! We can’t wait for more adventures to come!
