Our year 1 Ladybirds enjoyed a fantastic visit to the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, where they had the opportunity to explore beautiful artworks and bring their classroom learning to life.

The visit provided a wonderful opportunity for the children to make connections with their learning about the four seasons. As they explored the museum, they looked closely at different paintings, using their observational skills to identify interesting details and consider how artists represent the changing seasons.

Inspired by the artwork they had discovered, the children then had the opportunity to get creative and produce their very own masterpieces, putting their ideas and artistic skills into practice.

Throughout the visit, our Ladybirds were enthusiastic and curious art explorers. They asked thoughtful questions, shared their observations and demonstrated a real excitement for learning.

A huge thank you to the wonderful team at the Fitzwilliam Museum for delivering such an engaging workshop and making us feel so welcome.

Experiences like these are an important part of our commitment to learning beyond the classroom, helping children make meaningful connections, develop new skills and discover the rich cultural opportunities available in our local community.
Well done, Ladybirds, for representing our school so brilliantly!
